With Ammyy Admin, you can perform the same process almost instantly. It is very easy to use and it provides everything you would expect from such an application. Besides controlling remote computers, you can also voice chat with your partner, transfer files in both directions and much more. There are many more advantages worth mentioning. The application is free for personal use and there is no need to go through an installation process. The executable is only 717 KB and you can run it right away, to access the application's interface and its functions. Furthermore, the application is not divided in client and server modules, so you can use the same executable on all computers. The user interface is very compact and the available options allow you to connect to a remote computer or allow other users to connect to yours, with nothing more than a few clicks. The left half of the window is where you will find your personal ID and your local IP address. You can start or stop sharing your desktop, with different options, in the same area. If you want to connect to a friend's computer, you must type or paste his ID or IP, on the right half of the window, click a button and wait for the remote user to allow your connection. Before you establish a connection, you may decide on a different course of action, by selecting an option from a drop menu. The application allows you to select different connection speeds, view a remote desktop as sequential screenshots, voice chat, manage files or perform a speed test. Although Ammyy Admin is lightweight and straightforward, it still provides enough features which allow you to secure your connection, save contacts and set up permissions. You can choose to allow any user to connect to your computer or to allow specific users. It is possible to add one or more IDs to an allowed list, along with individual passwords. Additionally, you can allow or deny certain actions for each user. Pros: The application uses only 717 KB of disk space and it includes a good number of useful features. You can establish secure connections, set up permissions, transfer files and more. Ammyy Admin allows you to choose between different connection speeds and save contacts.
